I ask because my brother was beat by one yesterday. I know they're 450 HP AWD so getting beat from a light on wet pavement (despite the Mickey Thompson drag radials) is to be expected. He caught up eventually, but the damage was done. He immediately called me on my cell phone and demanded to know what the f*** an RS 6 was. Now we have to avenge the death of his Turbo Regal (pictured below with my GN rims on it).

It looks like maybe 2003 was the last year the imported them here, but my brother said it was 'new'. He probably can't distinguish between a new A6 and a 2003 A6 anyway.

It's basically an A6 on steroids. They have a 4.2L twin turbo 450 hp V8, and AWD. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, and a 12.63 second quarter mile. I'm pretty sure 2003 was the last year they brought them to the US. Now we get the RS4.

with tuning it can get very far like every other turbo'ed audi. Even the previous gen s4 gets up there very fast

Given those number, on dry pavement the Regal would be side by side with it, but on wet pavement it was no contest.

I didn't think they imported them after 2003 but couldn't find anything that specifically said that. They still make them, they just don't bring them here I guess.

2003 was the last year they brought them in. But 2004 is actually the last year they were available here. Because the 2 model years never changed, you could bring one over yourself and have it licensed.
