Samantha goes to my college, we've seen each other several times at school but started talking recently. She's exactly three weeks older than me, italian, and into a lot of the weird shit I'm into as far as books, and my weird fascination with the occult. We got really flirty from the get go and spent a week and a half getting to know each other. After our little date tonight we officially hooked up. Our new union was celebrated tonight with that of a thunderstorm we sat on my porch and watched together......

I told him if he called her again I'd strap him to a table and show him every organ in his body as I remove them one by one using a box cutter. After that sentence I just heard a long pause then he hung up. I gave Samantha her phone back and told her it was taken care of. She was laughing so hard and gave me this monumental hug.

The Nine Inch Nails song is a bit of commentary on that and other songs where stars suggest they are above other people (other notable lines in it are taken from Carly Simon and Marilyn Manson). The meaning of the Nails song is that the stars themselves are "starfu**ers".

Rumor has it that the song is directed particularly at Manson, who Trent used to produce for (which is why the song more closer resembles a Marilyn Manson song than a fine tuned and over-orchestrated NIN track and why the vocals are deliberately choppy; which is a jab at Manson's singing ability and the multiple takes and editing Trent had to have done for him early on).

Evidently, somewhere along the line they made up, because Manson made a surprise appearance during that song when NIN performed in New York after it was released (you can see it as an easter egg on the DVD for All That Could Have Been).
