So tomorrow at 8:00 in the morning i'm taking the dreaded ACT. Luckily for me I always do well on standardized tests. A few weeks ago I took a practice ACT (it was the actual test from last year) and I got a 24 on it. It was really easy for me for the most part. The science part was a real bitch. The state average here is 20. I got to look it over, and most of the ones I got wrong were either just careless mistakes, or I didn't know them at all. I'm going to take it again in June also. They say the more you familiarize yourself with the test, the better you'll next time.
If I get at least a 26, i'll be happy really with myself :highfive:

When I took my GED, I had a percentile raking (national) of about 80 out of 99. Once everything is added up, it is then divided between five different areas such as mathematics, science, reading comprehension, social studies, and writing skills. The average of 80 is the final tally.
Good luck on your test!!!

So what'd you think of it? I thought it was going to be the worst, but it wasn't too bad at all. The worst was waiting for the results, my friend got a 31 and I couldn't have stood for anything less. Fortunately I tied him...
It was slightly harder than the practice ACT, but definatley nothing to complain about. English was a breeze, Math was half easy and half "I dont know what the hell i'm doing", Reading was alright (most of the things to read were pretty boring, one story was about a guy who has an obsession with pens), Science wasn't too bad (too many confusing charts and graphs), and I wrote a solid 3 pages for the writing portion on the topic "Why high school seniors should have more privileges than underclassmen."
Now I have to take it again in school (this one was outside of school), and i'm taking it once more on June 10.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't have to go through any of that tesing crap before I graduated. I do remember scoring 132 on an IQ test my science teacher gave us... It didn't count towards our grade though; it was just for fun.

i didn't have to take act when i was in hs but i did take those pre-act and i think i scored 36 in math and 34 in english. For sat, i fell asleep during reading comprehension so my total score ended up right below 1400.
