What did you do about the tire pressure sensors?
| View Full Version : Anyone switch wheels for the winter? hcvone 04-05-06, 06:35 PM What did you do about the tire pressure sensors? AWF_AXIS 04-05-06, 06:40 PM When I had the '05 Denali, I kept the sensors in the stock rims. In summer, when riding the custom wheels, my computer would always give the the Pressure Sensor warning every time I started up. The dealer said to buy a complete set, its $125 per wheel, or pull em out of the factory rims. Since I did the Winter switch, and being a cheap bum, just would hit the "return" button after each startup to clear the message. Dave hcvone 04-05-06, 06:43 PM I guess I will be buying a set of them, that is now doubling the wheel price. :( slk230mb 04-05-06, 08:35 PM I guess I will be buying a set of them, that is now doubling the wheel price. :( I don't think the wholesale price of the TPS is that much. If the system on the 07 Escalade is anything like on the CTS-V after you drive a certain amount of miles the TPS system will shut off until it picks up a signal from one of the sensors. If it's like that you just need to keep the wheels away from where the truck is parked. AWF_AXIS 04-05-06, 11:25 PM I had the wheels off for 10 months. Still had the error. Put them in public storage. Don't like excess "junk" in the garage. Dave hcvone 04-06-06, 07:28 AM I don't think the wholesale price of the TPS is that much.
