I unlocked one of them with my key and now cant lock it again. i though maybe the lock was busted or something so i unlocked the other side. now i cant lock that one either. am i doing something wrong? please advise. thanks

did you try pushing it in and locking it?

You need to try to have it close all the way. Try slamming the door down or press on the cover to have the lock button pop out. It may not have been latched properly.
