View Full Version : Cayenne Turbo kill

So I pull up to a light next to some guy in a Cayenne turbo. He hears the Corsa rumbling and laughs at me with this look on his face like I was some untouchable driving a Yugo that didn't have the right to share the road with him. Of course this ticked me off so when the light changed I matched his takeoff until be could tell I wasn't going to let him pull ahead. After I shifted into 2nd, he nails it and so I romp on it. By the time I'm solidly into third and winding out he's about 4 car lengths behind. The bourgeois turd wouldn't even look at me at the next stoplight!

There's nothing quite like wiping the smug look off some snob's face with a healthy dose of LS6 power. Vs Rule! :kick:

Swizzle fo shizzle. Just beware, the replacements aren't going to go down so easily. The new Cayenne Turbo is going to have well over 500hp and well over 500ft/lb of torque. So let's get winning while the winning is good.

That's the Cayenne Turbo S, 520 SAE hp, $111,600 price tag... let them win for that price.

Cayenne Turbo (non-S) 450 SAE hp.

By the time I run into one of those I should have my 408 installed with ported heads, cam, headers and F.A.S.T. 90. I'd like to see a stock E55 catch me at that point, much less an overpriced German snob utility vehicle with less power and 1000 more pounds of curb weight. Maybe I'll toss a Maggie on there too... just to be sure.:lildevil:

You Da Man VDiddy. Good job humbling Mr. Porsche.

No worries guys, if a Turbo S is too much for the NA guys, your back up, Maggied V's, will be there to give those a spankin'. ;)

They might beat us, but in the end they still have to drive home in a station wagon. :highfive:

I had a run in with a Cayenne Turbo as well, but there wasn't 4 car lenths us at the end, it took everything my stock V had to pull past that bus! He did pull out of the Brabus parking lot, that may have had something to do with it.

I did beat the guy but he still went home in a Turbo Porsche (a quite large Turbo Porsche).

I ran into one of those the other day at a stop light.

Looked over at me and gave me the nod. I pointed in his back seat at his kid and told him he was an asshat.

A turbo diesel SUV that pumps out over 500ft/lb of torque, STOCK! A few minor mods and a tune, my goodness that's sick! And it looks like a normal Twareg(sic, I know). The ultimate sleeper!

also watch out for the some of those tourag owners with diesel engines. Some of those are modded to put out well more than your wildest imagination.

I'd rather be driving my friends stock Typhoon. :D I can't touch him from a stop! 13.66 in the 1/4 bone stock is awesome. Oh yeah it is 14 yrs old too! and only cost 12k last year with 50k miles in perfect condition. LOL

Actually the I love the New Trailblazer SS that is a sweet ride!

Oh Yeah nice KILL!!

They quit making those 10 cyl ToeRags... emissions problems. Didn't sell too well either. I guess nobody really needed to tow their house with them.

i remember seeing a guy with 500rwhp rx7 got his ass beat and post about it on rx7 forum. He said watch out for the huge intercooler equipped diesel tourag.

Imagine one of the most aerodynamic single turbo equipped car with 2900lb weight get beat on the highway on high speed pull by a brick. According to his post, it wasn't even close.

Good Job!!!! Sounds Sweet.... Only one that got by me was a new CL 500 AMG ...... w v/12 badge.

I held my own with him, he gave me a thumbs up at the next light. I was still smiling as I gave him a good run and I know what he spent. When compared to what I spent, I still have to smile!

i don't think any 500 mercedes will beat the v. That car must have been CL600 since it had the v12 badge

May have been the 600, definitely had the V12 and was AMG. I guess I spent a bit too much time driving and gazing at what he had in the right front seat..... Newport Beach is such a fun place... to drive.....:)

ya if I remember correctly they also had a +60k sticker...when you could get the v8 for like 15k less...so no I cant imagine they sold to well. I know the rally tourag they used was the diesel, I dont remember what it placed but it did damn good.......

and you cant really consider the typhoon as a comparable, sure it's fast, but offers no luxury whatsoever. A renntech ML ok that can be added into the conversation :D

From what I remember, the V10 TDI Toureag's were only sold in the east coast. They didn't meet smog requirements for CA and all the participating states. Therefore, not too many made it over the pond. However, there's a loop hole for us CA residents. There is a way to be able to buy the V10 Toureag and register it, if it's used.

Oh yeah, KILL CAYENNE TURBO, KILL CAYENNE TURBO! :D

Let's put it into perspective considering its age. The truck is leather interior with full power. Plus lumbar support even! Rear auto leveling suspension! For a 92 "Blazer" it offers a lot of luxury. It is very comfortable to drive, plus it handles great too!

you dont have to tell me, I worked for a vw/gm/mitsu dealer for a while a year ago......one guy went through 3 tourag lemons before he finally gave up and bought a denali....those things were in our shop more than the owners got to drive them.
