I purchased a CTS-V this weekend and when I was about to drive off the lot the Dealer went to put the Nav DVD in and sure enough someone had stolen it (one of the employees).
I went back today and they gave me a replacement but the Nav system does not recognize it. It says that it is initializing it but it does nothing after that.
Turns out they gave me a DVD from an Escalade. Are the Systems incompatible? Anyone else having initialization problems?
Thanks,
Paul

Make sure the dealer gives you an updated disk that works. Not sure if the escalade disk works in our cars.Don't let the dealer try to pass off an old disk on you.

The navs are not cross compatible.:thehand:
They are not even compatible within the same year (05) model!
There is a rumored "magic bullet" wishware that is supposedly gonna fix all this (yeah sure).
If you get jacked around getting the right disc, pm me.

The DVD it dated 2005 NAVTEQ, ZEBRIN CO LTD
It says it is version 1.0
It is simply titled Cadillac Navigation DVD United States Canada.
I have not tried playing a standard DVD yet (to see if it is the player) but I am going to try that now.

So I did a little checking and it looks like this disk is a 2007 disk (GM #15878293?) and it is also incompatible with GM vehicles prior to 2007.
I am guessing that the replacement they FedEx to me in the next couple of days will also be incompatible.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul

I checked it out. I am just stuck waiting for them to FedEx me a new Disk. This sucks. You spend 50k+ on a car you kind of expect it to be perfect when you take it home.
I have to say this car is amazing. I am dying to go out and drive. Kind of makes me wish I didn't work from home.
BTW, I can not PM you since I have not posted 50 messages. Can you PM me?
Thanks for your help.
