the only chrome i difinitively see is the strip on the top of the grill (which is the same as our cars now). everything else looks like it's grey to match the car...

Well folks, I agree with Robert on this one. It is a wee bit "Lutzie" for me and he has it his stamp cast upon it. Too bad, as the first generation is a hallmark of excellent design in that it keeps your eye moving around the automobile and piques one's curiosity, so gone will be the days when people walk up to you and ask you what brand it is only to be pleasantly surprised and approving that it is a Cadillac. Now, one's eyes are assaulted with a grill the size of those found on the fifties era Cadillacs where they had their place and a Cadillac was the size of a freight train car. There's no mistaking the front grill and it is simply no longer elegant and understated (as good design is), as it is overbearing like the Chrysler 300C. Subtlety? "We don't need no stinkin' subtlety," shouts Lutz! Robert's use of the word "gaudy" applies here in droves. And what's with the bloody headlamp housing? Does it shoot projectile discs out of those upper slots?

I have to say I'm undecided with Robert...I'll have to wait for the rest of it. I for one thing that the rearend is too high... Gues I will be getting that Challenger :)

The consensus is that the rear shown might not be the right one, but that the front is dead on (notice that everything, down to the headlight washers, are present;) )

Notice the tail light uses the same theme as the head lights.

Yeah, I'll take one of the new Camaro's too. I've always loved the Camaro. But this new Cadillac, whichever model it is, looks good too. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

For me, I expected them to round the design out more (like the current STS) and I am glad to see they are not going that route. That rear to me looks ALOT like a concept car I would have seen a few years ago... I am anxious to see the entire car (especially the interior now.)

I don't know, but the new Camaro is looking better and better all the time...more of a Sigma design than whatever that was under that BishopRuger (Fur-Like material/Velvet) cover.

I like the front end if not WE can change it later, right Robert. I'm not sure about the rear end will have to see the entire car. I like the camaro also, I'll buy whichever has the biggest engine. :thumbsup:

I was not too impressed, looks like they are trying to look like the 300. It will be interesting to see the whole thing.

I saw a pic of the Camero a few weeks ago.... very impressed although the grill is rough to me. It is nice to see the retro look coming back though and it will be good to get the Mustang/Camero rivalry back.

I'm very into the whole "Cadillac Sixteen" look. I was really happy when somebody photoshopped an STS with the Sixteen look (in our photo database). When the STS turned out to look just like the CTS, I was a little disappointed.. I'd love to see this Cadillac Sixteen look on the cars - not just the trucks..

Of course, opinions are going to differ from person to person. But this is the most pleased I've been with a Cadillac design since the early 90s and the 1998 Seville refreshening...

I see evolution in the design. High beltline, sweeping roofline... can't wait.

Like has been said, that rear that was shown is NOT the right one, but the front DEFINATELY is.

Same goes for the interior, which has been confirmed as what will be in the next gen '08 for certain:thumbsup:

I think it looks AMAZING so far, and will look a lot better once everyone sees it with the proper rear:yup:

I think we are getting way ahead of ourselves by assuming this to be the new CTS. It could be the new DTS, STS, XLR or even an entirely new model. The trim level tells me it is not a CTS.

It is the CTS. I've seen the entire car. Here just a bit more so you know I know. The car is a running model. Not a mock up or mule.

Hey Bob, I thought you were 100% positive it is the new CTS. But your pic shows a way different front than the one on 60 minutes (Grille and fog lights are way different).

Now I am still in doubt wether it is goint to be the new CTS. And the rear end is also way different than the previous spy pictures we seen before. The trunk should be lower and longer...

I haven't seen one. I've been setting on that one for several months. I was told that is the V version.
Which stands to reason with the chrome grill.

I like the car shown in the 60 Minutes piece. I also like the interior mock-up shown. Can't wait to see the whole car but I'm optimistic. If it looks as good as I think, it will be a great improvement over the current CTS IMO.

Hopefully with all these new things with the car, they don't go crazy with the price..... :bigroll: , I think I would consider upgrading to it when the time comes from my 03 CTS - but that all depends on the finished product and price formost!!!

Yeah, that black one is definately a new escalade... the other goldish colored one looks photo chopped. The color is too smooth. Looks very 3d rendered.

umm just to let u guys know if u watch the video, the tail lights they show are not the same car as the "cts" one that shows the front, i was reading on GMI a while ago and remeber somthing about a 2 door coup, so maybe thoes tails would work on somehting that could look like a caddy 350 Z, u guys dig, But im almost 100 percetn sure that the tail lights shown are a dif car then the front shown.

The debate with that tho, were all the cars shown different stages of the CTS? A multipe new caddys coming in the future. It was obviously a showroom, the design centers are much larger.

Just like that clay model, I think its just showing different stages and versions of the CTS. Even tho they didn't show much.
