My 05 V (built June 04) exhibits the clutch problem described in the TSB - the pedal stays on the floor momentarily when shifting at over 6000 RPM. While I do drive the car agressively, I don't normally power shift. My question is is it worth having the dealer tear into the car to replace the clutch? Are there other benefits of having the later designed clutch? I have driven manual transmissions all of my life and have always had trouble smoothly shifting the V.
Thanks,

Ive been tryin to get the new clutch put in, and ya I too can drive extremely smooth in any manual trans within 5 mins, it's been 2 months and I still cant smooth out my driving...so ya, I too would like to know.

Mine is being done right now. It's been at the dealer for a week on a slew of warranty replacements, radio, nav, and clutch. BTW, I love the car and the loaner is an SRX so I'm not at all annoyed, in fact happy.
Anyway, tech said the clutch if FUBAR. My car build date is first week of Jan 05, but the S/N on the flywheel was within the TSB. He said the clutch was much too weak, and had burned and glazed the clutch disk due to improper engagement of the clutch.
In other words, if you have the bad clutch, get it fixed under warranty, the weak engagement is causing excessive slippage and it's eating your clutch disk.
Can't wait to find out how they're supposed to shift!
definatley keep us updated....from what Ive heard though, it's great at first, then it goes right back to what we had before. :(
