: 1st generation Seville owner

Hi everyone,

I'm glad I discovered this forum. I am impressed by the range of vehicles embraced by the members here. I don't know if there are many (if any) '76-'79 Seville enthusiasts on board, but I am enjoying reading about everyones great rides.

I have owned about 30 cars since I was a teenager, but have only recently owned a couple of Cadillacs. i bought a 27,000 mile 1977 Eldorado a couple of years ago that was fun to cruise in but required a home fabricated garage extension to cover the tail end (quite a hastle). i also was amazed how poorly it handled. I had owned a '68 Toronado before and thought it would be similar (it wasn't).

I then began shopping for a 1st gen. Seville. I bought a 1979 Elegante with 35,000 miles on it. It now has a 455 (actually 462) CID Olds engine in it, and it goes, stops and turns just great. I love it.

Welcome aboard!
I like both models you have. My sister had a 1st gen seville and loved it! I have always had a soft spot for the eldo's!

Thanks for the welcome. I forgot to mention that I sold the Eldorado, prior to buying the Seville. I didn't have enough garage space for both.
