Well, just a bit of light heartedness here, nothing serious, I just thought it'd be interesting to find out what everyone would use as a getaway car if they were robbing a bank or something. See criteria below:
Must have four accessable seats, therefore in effect, FOUR doors.
A Ford Taurus with extra plates. You don't want to stand out in traffic, you want to blend in. You can't hide from helicopters no matter how fast you are!
It would have to be a black STI, small and nimble to get around tight city streets, ground clearance and AWD to hop a curb or take it through the park, yet still plenty of power....
The key is to get out of there without a chase even beginning until you are gone. Blend in, drive at and around the speed limit to your getaway car you left a mile or so away.
You should know average response time in that area and hope you don't happen to run into a situation where officer joe happens to be driving right by when the call came in
Bank robbery isn't worth it
What is it 25 years for.. $10,000-$80,000 (Seems like that is what they usually end up with)
If you wanted to be a crook you could make 100s of 1000s risking alot less time .. An intelligent criminal will figure out the profitability to possible time ratio in advance.
This is why you KNOW all hold up style robbers are dumb.
Risk an armed robbery charge/10yrs for a few hundred out the register?
Pfffffffffft
PFFFFFFFFFFFT

It makes more sense to rob a Securicor Omega depot instead. Same theory though. Say you were comminting any crime, a drive by or something, what getaway would you use.

68 Charger R/T 440 Magnum. If you can smoke the tires going up San Francisco hills, you can pretty much outrun anybody:
