Mine is without a doubt the Yankees winning the 1996 World Series. I was 12 and not yet jaded and cynical about pro-sports. I remember sitting on my bed and being in a state of shock. Never before had a team I followed so obsessively won a championship, I was in sensory overload. I remember people setting off fireworks, The Bronx felt electrified. The two moments that solidified the event for me was Atlanta's manager saying that the NL championship was good enough for him as he sobbed like a girl. The other was Wade Boggs riding the police horse around the stadium. Ten years later, I'm assigned to the Mounted Unit and there are pictures of that every where. I get to relive that memory everyday.
The Rangers winning the 1994 Stanley Cup was pretty cool too, but I was still kinda young to really appreciate it.
Michael Jordan's last shot in game 6 of the 1998 NBA finals against the Utah Jazz. The Bulls were down by one point in the final seconds of the game, Jordan steals the ball from Karl Malone, and with 5.2 seconds left he sinks an 18 footer for the win. That moment will be embedded in my mind forever.
I have so many, but the one that comes to mind at the moment is...
The Dolphins vs Jets in NY. Its 4th quarter, only seconds to go. Dan Marino was QB, and it was third and goal, everyone in the stadium including the anouncers think hes gonna quick snap and spike it and get a play together for 4th down. They rush to the line, snap the ball and he acts like he's gonna spike it, he has the motions like he is, but he tosses it in the endzone for the winning TD.

I remember a not-so good game for the Dolphins several years later on a Monday night game:
The Dolphins were ahead of the Jets 30-7 in the 4th quarter...The Jets rallied to tie the score at 30, only to watch the Dolphins score another T.D. with only a few ticks remaining...The Jets answered and the game went to overtime. The Jets won that game 40-37...
words cannot say how much i wish i had been around for that. ive seen some good ones though. in no particular order.
-vinatieri's two snowy mess field goals in the controversial victory over oakland
-red sox winning the world series
-red sox winning 4 straight against NY in the alcs
-when the bruins won the cup, wait, no i havent seen that. DAMMIT!
-but one time, i attended and they were losing to vancouver 2-1 in the 3rd. they scored with literally 1 second left to tie it, then won in overtime...and then the dropkick murphys put on a free show.
The Dolphins kicking the poop out of the Patriots last season.Loved that one,and the they beat the poop out of the Jets. The Dolphins will be something this season,we got Culpepper now.Thats my boy, from UCF.
As a long-suffering New England Patriots fan, I'd have to say it was the last two minutes of Super Bowl XXXVI. I was too wound up to really enjoy the game, but it was something to watch Tom Brady calmly bringing the Pats down the field, then Adam Vinateri kicking the game winning field goal. I've followed the Pats since 1975 (growing up in the Dallas Cowboys country no less), endured many a 2-14 season, so it was hard to believe my team had finally done it.
The other highlight was going to Game 2 of the 2001 World Series in Phoenix. That was really cool, too.
