Anybody know what exactly the performance mode does on the xlr-v. I've seen it on Corvette's before but am wondering whether it increases the boost on the supercharger, increases the fuel mixture. Any thoughts are appreciated

Performance mode (Sport Auto Mode) in the XLR-v does three things:
1/ Cues the transmission computer for aggressive driving. This raises the shift points.
2/ Shifts are considerably firmer. You get a shove in the gear transitions, while standard mode keeps everything smooth.
3/ The magnetorheological shocks are controlled for a firmer ride and the car corners noticeably flatter.
There is no effect on power, but the car feels crisper and more ready to boogie.

Is this when you switch the Traction Control to "Performance Mode" or when you move the shift lever over to the left?

It is my understanding there two separate performance modes. One is when you move the shifter to the left (but do not shift) this changes what was mentioned before. Now if you then press the TC button once or twice i forget now V only has 200 miles on it. The TC and stabilitrack go into a restrained setting but are still active! They are only turned off if the TC button is held down for 8 seconds.
