It's at the engine side of the radiator hose. I forget if it is the upper or lower but a quick inspection should tell if no one else chimes in. caddydaddy 03-26-06, 10:49 PM If you look at the waterpump housing, there will be a black thermostat housing that has the rad hose going to it. Just remove the bolts for that, and it's there. Very easy to do! C170B 03-27-06, 12:18 AM Be sure to use a geniune GM thermostat or exact orig OEM. Replace thermostat every few years without question or symptoms. There are circumstances that can cost you an engine $8,000! High price for a 15.00 part. They are designed to fail . The metal covering of the WAX MOTOR is so thin it develops micrscopic cracks loses wax starts slow failure. You will find a record of new part numbers for improved thermostats and thermostat housings. Shows we are trying however the industry needs to sell parts lots of parts. Just do it. | |
