Got the cable , got the laptop , got the software
Problem 1 , wrong pins were in the pc to aldl apdapter , revised them to so that wasnt a problem
Problem 2 First software didnt work , doesnt support any cadillacs ecept for the big fleets
Problem 3 no software will support the cadillac 4.9 v8 , let alone and cadillac outside the fleetwood ...
Problem 4 , apprently the Cadillac FWDs dont operate like the rest , all data is completely diffrent and talks to the IPC first , and the data is masked espically for this function , there is no way in ....
This is so frustrateing

your talking about like a scanner. that will read isc, air intake temp, timeing, map, everything. it should read it. im pretty sure the easy scan 600 will read it but is that obd1 or 2?

So you are using a laptop in the car to check engine data and whatnot?
That is EXACTLY what I have been thinking about doing... because my trusty IBM ThinkPad 560E is laying here right besides me with really nothing to do... and its perfect size/speed etc... for a car computer type deal...
but... it sounds like it isn't working....

They (digimoto) say this...
Will it work on my car?
Every vehicle made since 1996 has been required to be OBDII compatible. You can verify whether or not your vehicle is OBDII compliant by viewing a sticker that is most often found underneath the hood of your car. The mOByDic interface we use works with all protocols of vehicles (ISO, VPW, PWM, CAN etc.) ~ it is not necessary to determine the protocol of your vehicle. If your vehicle has an OBDII sticker, it will be compliant with our system.
