When I purchsed my 03, both headlights were stractched up very deeply on the top (due to horrible drive up car wash by the original owner)

Does anyone have an extra pair of headlight units they will sell???

the dealer wants like $250 each, thats unreal.....

Check eBay. They have pairs of headlights going for a few hundred dollars.

The dealer is actually charging not that bad of a price. The last time I checked, each headlight housing was over 1K.

holy crap, mabye they misunderstood me and thought i was asking for the housing of the light not the whole unit....

i wouldnt be suprised if they charged that much...

Cerillo - Hey I think I have the same sort of damage to my headlights (scratching on the top surface). I've been trying to get my dealer to replace them under waranty but so far they've refused. In my opinion it should be considered a defect because it seems to only happen on a few CTS's. Check back to the forums in the next day or two, I'm going to start a thread to collect information from everyone who has this sort of damage to see if there is a pattern with respect to build date or that sort of thing. Also, if your car is still under waranty and you haven't already asked, check with your dealer and see if you can convince them to approve the replacement of your headlights under waranty, or at least cut some sort of "good will" deal. If we can document one dealership approving this replacement, then that will set a precident the rest of us can use with our dealers.

I already asked 2 dealerships since I am still under warranty,,,,and both times they said it can not be replaced since it looks like aftermarket damage done by cheap car washes....ill try to post a pic this week,,,
it look different then your damage, I saw your damage, mine is actually deep scratches...
