can anybody tell me why I can't get a new pioneer supertuner to even power up. I have 2 tens w/ an amp in the trunk hooked through the factory head unit. When I turn it up too much or when it gets hot the head unit shuts down and I have to restart my car to reset the head unit. Somebody help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My guess would be you mis-matched the output impedance of the stock unit, causing it to go into thermal shutdown.

How do you have the stock headunit hooked to the amp, ( line level input, or are you using a line level to rca adapter) either way the head unit is seening a lower ohm rating that it wants to see, IE it wants a 4 ohm load, but you are showing a 2 ohm or lower ohm load to the head unit.

Check the Ohm load going into the head unit, then measure what the stock speakers ohm rating is, and adjust until they match.(only way to do that is with a line level to rca adapter)

Or you could have a bad ground somewhere.
