If I'm not mistaken, in California, the Oldsmobile 350 was standard due to emissions.

Yes,I found an exception, it shows the eldorado (calif.) as having the 350,it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't put it in the fleetwood and deville too.

The Olds 350 was not used in the 80 Fleetwood Brougham AFAIK. The 350 diesel was optional. I don't know that Cali had it's own engine... I do know there was a California emissions package.

Hi,

The 1980 Fleetwood Brougham, deVilles, and Limousines had either the 6.0 (368) 4 barrel carb V8 standard or a 5.7 (350) diesel optional.

In 1980, Eldorado and Seville models made to California specifications had the 350 with fuel injection while the rest of the U.S. had the 368 with fuel injection. Diesel was standard on Seville and optional on Eldorado in 1980.

Later in the 1980 model year, the Buick 252 (4.1) V6 was offered as a credit option.
