Smithwicks is gooood stuff...I was introduced to it at the Pig and Whistle on Third in New York a month or three ago. A coupla people crashed at my house last night, so I woke them all up with green beers at 9:00 this morning...got a lot of funny looks from those who were still sleeping, when I was up and about bouncing around the house with six beers in my hand...'twas great! now though, I've cut myself off as of 11 or so, cause I have to go to work, bartending, tonight at four...
Why is the beer green? Is it done by the manufacturer or the bar? Is it just colored or does it have something else in it, like an added plant or extract or liquor or something?

Green beer is just a normal brew with green food coloring. It's quite simple unless you have a dark lager. I'm sipping on a glass right now, it tastes pretty good (Samuel Adams).
Bundy, please tell me its not Heine's? Those are some nasty mo-fo's!
