Hell yah! I'm 1/2 Irish...but on St. Patty's Day everyone is Irish. What am I doing? Well, hanging out with the old lady for a little while, then getting absolutely shit-faced drunk and possibly dying some hair/part of my body green. Gotta love it.

It seems that me and Sandy are the only ones here who can legally drink, yet I'm not going to get drunk, do you plan on it, Sandy:D?

I don't believe that Meg has no plans for tomorrow...

Here's a St. Patty's Day joke:

Two Irishmen, Patrick Murphy and Shawn O'Brian grew up together and were lifelong friends. But alas, Patrick developed cancer, and was dying. While on his deathbed, Patrick called to his buddy, Shawn, "O'Brian, come 'ere. I have a request for ye." Shawn walked to his friend's bedside and kneels.

"Shawny ole' boy, we've been friends all our lives, and now I'm leaving 'ere. I have one last request fir ye to do."

O'Brian burst into tears, "Anything Patrick, anything ye wish. It's done!"

"Well, under me bed is a box containing a bottle of the finest whiskey in all of Ireland. Bottled the year I was born it was. After I die, and they plant me in the ground, I want you to pour that fine whiskey over me grave so it might soak into me bones and I'll be able to enjoy it for all eternity."

O'Brian was overcome by the beauty and in the true Irish spirit of his friend's request, he asked, "Aye, tis a fine thing you ask of me, and I will pour the whiskey. But, might I strain it through me kidneys first and expel it at me pleasure?"

St. Moo.

I HATE Irish pubs. :stirpot: Noisy places that (at least around here) can't make a Martini worth crap, have no wine list to speak of (except the house swill), and their best Vodka is usually Absolut or something (Absolut has a bitter aftertaste, it's the easiest way to tell what it is)! Not everyone in this world likes beer. I don't particularly like seeing chairs, glassware, and other crap flying through the air either! :duck:

I think I will spend this St. Partick's night at 227 in Rochester, if my friends are dragging me out ( :annoyed: ), we might as well go somewhere civilized!

Bartender! Vodka martini, Chopin, dry, straight up with slice lime please! :cool2:

Yar te darr I'm Irish. No really my middle name is Murphy and I am mostly Irish. As a result I'm going to use it as an excuse to wear my plastic lepracaun hat with green glitter glued to it. And more than likely to get pretty trashed, especially since my friend who moved to Phoenix is going to visit. My only regret is that my other middle name isn't Otto, so that I could say "my name is Otto and I like to get blotto."

And what the hell is this MOO thing you always talk about Zorb? It sounds really incredibly retarded, but I won't pass judgement until I know wtf you're on about.

Happy St. Patrick's day from the O'Donovans (we dropped the "O" a long time ago). We actually still have a castle over in Ireland from what my dad tells me. Last year, he went and stayed there while taking an extended vacation to the motherland. As for drinking, today will be no different than any other day...Margaritas for me and the Mrs. Hey, they're green! Besides, you know what the Irish call St. Patrick's day? Same as what I call Cinco de Mayo. Amateur's day! :alchi:

I know there are a few Irish pubs around here and are filled with lumberjack-looking, brawny, men who scare the life out of me!

Well, time to get ready for work....6:45 "yawn".

Happy B-Day Gothicaleigh (when are we gonna get a pic?)

I actually posted pics a while back in the "Post your Pic" thread. You'll have to find them in there though as I have a firm anti-camwhore policy (and well, I would need to knock the dust off my camera for newer ones). :p

...in related news: :D
I'm going out tonight! (which is actually a big deal for me as I never go out anymore) Haven't been told where yet, but I'm rather excited. :bouncy:

Happy St. Patty's Day !! Drink some beer and eat some snake meat !

I'm not going out tonight because I have to get on the road early in the morning. However I do still have about half a bottle of some very Green Absinthe, so that seems fitting to drink this afternoon / evening.

Happy B-Day Gothicaleigh !!

And on top of it all, I'm 1/4 irish! So I'm the one that should be out drinking!

No. I really don't celebrate St. Patties Day, I was just wishing my friends here (and that's everyone) a happy day if they are celebrating.

I got screwed by the weatherman. Earlier this week the forecast for today was snow, so I decided standing on 5th Ave watching the parade in the snow wasn't my idea of fun and decided to work St. Patty's Day. By the time the forecast changed (today was pretty nice, except for the wind) it was too late for me to take off again. Damn you Nick Gregory!!! I'll probably end up in some bar drinking Guiness and listening to Black 47.

The cow's an old old joke starting on one of the other boards I read a lot. I guess you would have to be there to get it. Most of the guys who started it at first aren't there anymore, so it's not as common a sight. Pretty much it started as a joke regarding stupidity and a cow, then came to become a reference to simply anything stupid. The small icon (I rehosted it after it disappeared) was initially used by a couple of the guys to represent the stupidity of a car. The worse I ever saw was when I posted pictures of a 740i with white/clear lenses everywhere, ground effects, pizza pan wheels, and a spoiler probably 15" tall (fast and furoius kind of thing) that I saw before the dream cruise on Woodward in Birmingham. Someone awarded it 4 cows for how stupid it was.

It started after two members had accidents involving cows within two days in unlikely places. I'm not sure if the stupidity has to do with the cow's stupididy for walking in front of the car or the driver's for hitting a slow moving stupid animal. I just think it's funny, and the sign is great.

They're forecasting snow for the first two days of the kids' spring break here!

I celebrated by knocking off early and going home to watch my University of Memphis Tigers defeating Oral Roberts University in the first round of the NCAA tournament!!!

As many times as I remember ORU beating us in the 70's, it was a good day. I was scared to death that 900-foot Jesus was gonna bring the pain along with his "A" game.
