Food for thought....

I have been wanting to do this! Now, is it worth $6K?

Looks to me like a huge profit margin built in. I can understand the development costs, but $6K? Owch.

Here's something similar, but actually in a Fleetwood:

Actually, this guy is also on the Impala SS board from time to time too.

Well...I have actually seen a few crazy transformations of those too, using some Marauder pieces, superchargers, etc....

True, I wonder if you could put in the "Intech" DOHC 4.6 into a Town Car?!?!

Very likely...I think, but am not sure, that I saw a custom TC before that had a 5.4L in it, but I could be wrong. The 4.6L Intech should definately work...and be quite a bit more lively than the dog 4.6L they've put in all the Panther cars for years.

Yeah..its got 20-30 more HP than the LT1, but not as much torque (280 or 290 lb/ft v. 330-335) So it would make for an interesting Town Car, and a good match against a LT1 FWB.

Well thats one giant step back for the LT1 Fleetwood Broughams and one giant step ahead for the SOHC Town Cars.

I hope you are kidding.. because I know a guy who has a 1995 Fleetwood down here in Miami that runs low 13s normally aspirated :)

Okay, here's an update on that car. Turns out it WAS for sale a couple months ago on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lincoln-Town-Car-Signature-HOT-ROD-LINCOLN-35-000-in-Upgrades-DVD-Supercharged_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ31851QQite mZ4605722456QQrdZ1
But then I did some more digging and came up with this:http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=9307&highlight=1998
So I'm not sure what's up with the car. I "thought" it belonged to the older guy that is noe supposedly dead (well actually his wife).
I'm going to have to find out more about it.

6k is kinda high for a twin turbo setup... Especially since it doesn't include any of the internals for the engine to take it.

Considering the turbo's are typically $500 each, the wastegates $200 or so, $100 to $200 for blow off valves (if you really need them.... not sure on that one), the rest is custom bent pipes. Ok, choke in 100% profits and another 100% for engineering, that is still only $3K... Pricey to me.
