I test drove a CTS V with 550 miles on it today. The sticker is $51,xxx and they have so far reduced it to $47,xxx. I talked to the dealership manager and he even told me he wants to move this badly and there is a deal to be had. What should I pay for this car? It's brand new and the miles came from the GM driving back and forth a little bit.
Please leave comments b/c I'm going to go and negotiate tomorrow or Friday and need to know what others have paid. Thanks.

Seems high...I would check around for a used one from the forum or someone who takes care of them with pride...seems like 42 would be good.

I have a 2004, black, garage kept and 9k...I posted before but I lost my job and had to take one for MUCH less pay...I paid 39,900 in 2005 with 5k....
I will try to sell mine in the spring for 35k....and then cry...

40-43 is a good price. At 47K you may as well bring your own KY

You will probably get it for around $40k just tell them if they can sell it for more then they would have sold it! Honestly, anywhere up to $43k is good though but try and start at the 40 and move up to $41k! That would be a great deal! It has a roof I assume?

what color? the dealership where i bought my car had 2 05's with 400 miles on them each. one went for $43K (stealth gray). and i think the other went for around $41k (black/tan). each had the roof. on the flip side i paid $46.3k for an infared 06 3 months back...

A "GM Executive" car probably. Which means they drove the shat out of it ? Ask them to include the 100K warranty no matter what you pay for it. Those first 500 miles might have been pretty hard ones.

Paid just under $40k for my '05 Redline with 300 miles on it. Bought in January on ebay from a Cadillac dealer.

Thought deal was too good to pass on.

If you took a test drive, you know you are going to get one. :bouncy:
Do not try to resist.

From what I'm seeing, you should be able to get it for under 40k. My dealer is looking for a low mileage '04 for me. He called me last week to offer me his new '05 Platinum, 200mi. roof V for $37,995. I declined and it sold on eBay for 39k. Another dealer has an '05 black, roof, Caddy wheels, Corsa, 4k mi. executive car for $38.5k certified. If I can't find an '04 by the end of the month, I'm going to spend the extra 5k.
Good Luck

I paid $37,750 for a 04 with 413 miles. Bought it Last month. Make an offer you're willing to pay or walk out the door from. There will always be the "better deal" out there.

Paid mid 30's with 6k miles on my 04. Starting to believe I am the only one in the area with a V. Kinda cool to own such a rare ride. At least your dealing on yours. Once they called me I jumped on it without much bargaining. I was told they had a waiting list for my 04 so I took no chances, even with the threat of divorce over my head I still bought her.

I paid $42,900 for an 05 with 400 miles on it. Dealer had a lot of incentives with that, too. $1000 in fuel. 12 months of OnStar Safe and Sound. 6 months of OnStar Directions and Connections. 12 months of XM radio. 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty. Maybe I could have cut out all the freebies and done it for $41,000 or so.

The stealth grey was probably mine; Sewell Cadillac? I paid $42,700.

Although in hindsight I wish I would have been able to wait out for a 2006 model.

I don't know if I am too late here, but we just picked up a 2006 CTS-V on March 8, 2006 and MSRP was: $51,395.00 and we got it for: $47,395.00. I think it is a bit too much to pay for a 2005.
