I know this subject has been beaten to death , but in the new Motor Trend magazine test Corvette Z06 vs Porsche 911 Carrera, under acceleration, who had the wheel HOP yep the 80,000 dollar Porsche. So it's not unique to cars set up for good road handling. Also they gave the win of the test to the Vette. Good old American muscle.
any car with an independent rear suspension and rwd with high hp will get wheel hop. though it is more pronounced in some then others.

I saw the new Mustang commercial the other night that highlights its own wheep hop, pretty funny.

... who had the wheel HOP yep the 80,000 dollar Porsche ... Yeah, I read that one, too. :)
Anybody active on the Porshe forum(s)? Is it discussed there, too? Or, is it hushed up? :canttalk:

I've read a variety of reviews/road tests on several different models of Porche wherein they commented on wheel hop.
I've had wheel hop on every IRS I've owned, including 540BMW, 2000 Viper, and my 03 Cobra Mustang. Buuuuttt, the V definitely raises wheel hop to a new level, it's far more intense, like something is going to break apart. But, it's all in how you drive it, not a fun ruiner for me.
