Should I get my coolant system checked and flushed?

normal bulb check function as key turns from start to the run position. If you saw no light, then the bulb has burned out. Some earlier Cads would turn on that light with the key in the switch, engine off and drivers door open. Draining and replacing coolant should be done every 24 months regardless of mileage. I personally do NOT recommend flushing. The pressures generated by a flushing machine on that old of a car can spring leaks or cause crud to come loose and cause a thermostat to fail. Just drain and refill. Also replace the radiator cap, they get weak after 3 or 4 years.

I often back flush with the prestone kit, but honestly, running it backwards yourself though the heater core is more beneficial and productive.

Now, how do I flush a LT1 cooling system??? Might be tank removal time....

Thanks for the responses fellas,

I dont remember it flashing before but maybe I just wasnt paying attention...
Ill probably get my coolant system checked anyways because I dont know the last time it was checked, as ive only had the car for a couple months...

Ill probably end up getting charged up the ass for it because I dont know anything about cars...
