MPH-Magazine - An even meaner Cadillac CTS-V is roaming the streets in prototype form. It has larger rear fenders and "possibly" the same engine as the Z06. Yes, folks a 505-hp Cadillac CTS! It looked production ready but will probably not see the light of day until the next-gen CTS arrives.

Good lord! a 505 hp Caddy! I guess now the '68-70 472 and '70-71 500 no longer have the highest torque ratings of any Caddy V8.

They had better put a Z06 rear end on that thing!

amazing how some speculation and some prototype of a widebody 04 has started facts. i still feel we will either see a s/c northstar or 6.2L LS3. fuel economy and price should kill any idea of a LS7 in V. wouldn't it be funny, if some guy just snapped a photo of an 04 with the spectre works widebody kit, and submitted it for the hell of it cause they hadn't ever seen anything like it before...

6.2L LS3

I think this will be the next engine in lot of GM vehicles, including the V. Great magazine though.

LS 7 ... How 'bout no Mr. Powers!

Uummm...I'm looking at the pic and I don't see wider rear fenders. Am I missing something? Is the pic different than my '05?

In this size frame, current design, I tend to doubt it. But a redesigned one, hmmmmm (starts buying lottery tickets...) :bouncy:

Judging by the lack of a GM badge on the front quarter panel, I'd say this is a stock 2004 or 2005.

Judging by the fact that that photo has been floating around the net for 3+ years I'd say you're right.

what bowen was trying to say is that photo is an old stock GM photo from when the CTS-V first launched. I think the article was using it to let people know what kinda car they were talking about and it was not meant to represent a "spy shot"

If they did intend it to represent a spy shot, those guys are really dumb and I dont believe a word they were saying.

That says it all -- pure fantasy...
