: So, what size tires can you actually fit?

I know the subject's been talked about before, but I'm trying to gather the definitive answer via this post:

I'm not in a position to put new rims on the V but I need tires, so I'm wondering what is the widest tire you guys have managed to fit on the rear of your V's using the stock rims?
The car has stock suspension, though I do intend on using the GC kit when both the kit availability and my $$'s permit.

Thanks

8K miles on 275/40 GSD3's in the back. Many have run this config. GUARANTEED to fit. 245's are the only GUARNTEED to fit size on the front (some have run 255's, but my GSD3's barely rub up front (245/45), so I don;t see how they don't get some rub).

I know it didn't answer your question absolutely, but GUARANTEED, not to cause any headaches, or wasted money.

BTW it look awesome. Definately changes handling characteristics though. Then again, shelving the F1 Runflats does that too, those tires have SICK grip.

275 40's sound like the ticket!

Aside from the Goodyears, which seem too trouble prone for me, I'm considering:
*Hankook Ventus Sport K104
*Kuhho SPT
*Sumitomo HTR Z II
*BFG g-Force T/A KDW-2
Any thoughts?
