Any cable TV mavens here? I recently upgraded to Cablevision digital and am redoing my wiring in the house. My splitter amp might be a bit too powerful now that I have upgraded to RG6. I am wondering if I need a powered splitter at all. I have 6 TVs with no run longer than 50 feet . Any body got any ideas?

Especially with RG6. I'm running one of my DirecTV connections about 125 feet on RG6, no amp needed. That's not a powered signal, either.

There's plenty of signal for your configuration. The key is RG6 and good quality sealed connectors. Almost all signal leakage problems originate at the ends. Sometimes the cable company will sell you their connectors fairly cheap. If you can't get them there, find a good ham radio shop. Those guys have good stuff.
