Hey guys, wanted to get some feedback from you guys. I have a deal on a set of 26" 6x139 Gianelle Elle 5s from one of my distributors and I wanted to get your feedback on pricing the set for sale on the internet. I haven't done much internet selling, so my pricing structure is based upon local sales. You guys seem to be able to recognize good internet deals..so let me know what you think.

I was thinking of pricing the set at $2900 + freight for a quick sale. Let me know if you think this is a fair price or not for Gianelle on the net.

Thanks GUYS!!!!

I don't know the retail price, but that seems legit and even inexpensive. What kind of internet selling will you do? And can we see your website?

Synergetic,

Thanks for the response. I loved your truck on the Genx wheels. I actually used the magazine pics of your truck to sell a set of those wheels to a customer 3-4 weeks ago. We lucked up and got the last set of those wheels in 24" from Ultimate Products. The wheels look good on the guys truck, but they tend to look much better when the vehicle has an accurate drop.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. When I say internet selling, I mean that I will sell to customers nationwide via the internet. I plan to test this utilizing ebay and forum sponsorship. Hopefully this will get me familiar with the various shipping, customer service, and supplier issues associated with selling on the internet/nationwide. I really hope this will help me develop the correct pricing structure for internet sales, I don't want to get caught up in the price beating game. Keep in mind I am use to only local sales, so this will be a whole new ball game for me. I plan to use these experiences to help develop a plan nationwide selling and then launch a website in the future. If we could talk offline Synergetic, that would be great. PM me so we can talk.

So...from reading your comments I may have underpriced these wheels. This has already been helpful. Thanks!

Jermaine -

I'm glad to hear that my magazine features helped you sell a set of wheels. Now how much commission do I get? I'm totally joking! :):)

I would be happy to talk to you offline. I have many helpful hints and tips for you, from a business owners perspective. I also own an interactive design firm that offers website development services and in fact have worked with clients involved in internet wheel sales in the past (not clients anymore).

I will shoot you an e-mail now and we can go from there.
And by the way - welcome to the forums!

Best Wishes!

One of the websights that I use as pricing is www.superbuytires.com (http://www.superbuytires.com) they literally have every wheel in stock. I normally look and see if the msrp price is above superbuytires than i def will not buy. Good Luck

Yeah, superbuytires.com has these wheels at $1296 each or $5184/set. Only thing is that superbuytires.com tends to always be on the high end. Anyway...it sounds like these should easily sell in the $2900-$3000 range. That breaks down to about $725-$750 per wheel, which is a great deal for a Gianelle 26" wheel brand new.

Thanks for the feedback guys...keep the comments coming.

Also, any suggestions on how to build my credibility on forums? Anyone on this site offer an escrow service?

THANKS!

Boombotz,

Didn't mean to step on any toes and I wasn't trying to advertise my business. I actually plan on selling these wheels on ebay. I just wanted to get some feedback and suggestions on internet sales from the guys on the forum. Many here have purchased things online and can provide me with invaluable feedback.

I may actually look into becoming a supporting vendor if that helps me gain credibility and selling rights on this forum. Thanks for the FYI.

Its no problem at all and I wish you luck with your new business adventure. We are all here to help and you are doing just fine asking for our opinions on pricing as I see no problem with it, but please don't put your business name and email address in each posts.

That is an awesome price to sell your 26's. But dealing with ebay in the past with wheels have been very sketchy. Make sure that with your pictures that you post up, you have a name tag of your user name as proof that you are actually selling wheels. Alot of people steal pictures. You should have feedback as well, someone paying is not going to want to spend almost 3gs on wheels with no feedback. You should offer local pickup as well. Also be careful of fraud escrow services and people wanting to end your auction early and steal your wheels with fake checks. Alot of overseas address try and steal your wheels.

blingblingcv,

Thanks for the heads up on ebay. Seems like there are so many more things to consider when selling on the internet. Seems like there is a ton of potential fraud on the net as well. For someone selling a $20 item on ebay...no big deal to get burned, but to someone like myself selling a $3000 product, I can't really afford to get burned.

Anyway, I am seriously considering what boombotz suggested. I think I may try out being a vendor on this forum for 2-3 months to see how I do. I think I will focus on offering periodic blowout wheel deals to customers on the forum. I figured this will allow me to offer you guys good products at great prices and not require me to be glued to a computer answering emails all the time.

What do you guys think??

Also, what type of payment methods make you guys feel comfortable when ordering on the internet. I am currently paypal verified and was thinking of using this as a way to offer my customers a quick payment method that will allow me to ship or drop ship quickly. What do you guys think? Do you have any other suggestions for payment?

Keep the feedback coming guys...I'm learning a lot here.

Hey..just curious what those would cost in 24s? Are they cast or forged pieces?

How about Dub big homies?

Is there a good lightweight forged 24 for the escalade around?

OK...sounds like I may have some support here at the forum. I'm going to look into becoming a sponsoring vendor for a month or two.

Womsterr,
All Giovanna and Gianelle wheels are cast wheels. PM me and we can talk more.

Also...would payments through paypal make you guys feel comfortable? Are there any other payment methods that make you comfortable when ordering on the internet?

Thanks guys...keep the feedback coming.

Fraud is right. Check out this auction on eBay selling/using my pictures. This has been going on for a couple months now and people bid after seeing the same pictures every time.

Wow..thats crazy to see fraud that wide open.

OK..I think I'm gonna become a supporting vendor here. I think it will be a lot safer and easier than going through ebay. I will offer payment via paypal. To ensure timely delivery, I have made arrangements with 3 suppliers to have wheels drop shipped directly from warehouses. Most wheels can be anywhere in the country in 1-4 days (if they are in stock). This means you don't have to wait on wheels coming to me and then me shipping to customer (also saves money on shipping). I'll get with the moderator on this.

Let me know what you guys think.

How much would tires be in addition to these rims?

tid9
03-09-06, 02:02 PM
RobertJoseph17,

When adding a 305/30/26 tire package to these wheels you must also consider the cost of hand mounting (not machine) this package plus the additional freight charge for the added weight.

Please email me and I will detail everything for you with pricing so you can make an informed decision.

Many thanks!
