: Driving in the snow

The V is my daily/only driver, and unfortunately is exposed to driving in snow/icy conditions. Today its alittle slush icy road conditions. Now I've driven in this stuff before I know what to expect. Now the reason for posting is trying to get into my driveway. I live on a serious hill for anycar in these conditions. When I'm going into the driveway, up to the garage I try to barely let the clutch out and give it no gas for fear of losing traction and saying goodbye to my momentum. So today just like other days under these situations the car shakes. The driveline, engine, rear, all that shakes. Its really wierd. I took a few pics of what it looks like after I make it up in to the garage, but I have no way of posting. I can email them if someone would be kind enough to help. Thanks.

It may in the traction control system, not sure if they use the breaks or cutting off gas to the engine to control traction on the V's.

I turn off the stability in the snow to assist in getting up hills

Definitely turn off the traction control - better yet, and I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but unless you have snow tires (or at least all-season tires) keep it parked when it snows. The "V" + F-1 runflats = no go in the snow! Actually could be downright dangerous .........

Thanks.I wouldn't recommend driving with the clutch partially engaged. Just start in a higher gear. Try 3rd or 4th.
