View Full Version : Cheapest spinning wheels for a 07 Escalade?

I am sold on the Escalade and plan on purchasing an 07 to surprise my wife to replace her Nav. My kids and my wife really likes those wheels where the outside pieces spins. Makes the wheels look they are not moving. I know nothing about them. I have been told that they are super expensive.

Like to know a rough ball park on what we are talking about for these types of wheels. Not sure what size. What is a good web site to learn more?

THanks for any help,

-Bart-

Please do not get spinners...your doing the '07 an injustice. They were a fad a few years ago and they get more laughs than compliments.

Back in the days when they were the latest craze they were fairly expensive, now they're dirt cheap. You can buy pre-packaged combos or you can buy the spinners seperately and attach them to the rims of your choice. Be careful on the fit as well as the lip size of the rim because you don't want the spinner to just stick out from the rim...you kind of want it spinning inside the wheel's lip.

The spinner attachments run like $800-1000 for a set of four then add the cost of the rim. With rims dirt cheap these days your looking at $2500 for a set of 22"s then add $1000 for the spinners.

If your wife likes them then I guess that's all that matters. But you'll get snickers when you pull up in your nice '07 with ghetto spinners. If you getting a black escalade I reccommend black rim with chrome lip and chrome bolt patterns if it's a 3 piece rim. To each his own.

Cheap spinners look cheap, you can get some really nice wheels, even the stock 22's are pretty nice. If you want to get spinners get nice ones, with wheels and tires they will cost you 7k to 10k. Why would you want to put cheap spinners on a 60k plus truck. :)

I would suggest you get the Floater wheels instead of the spinners.

It's just going to look stupid...that was a nasty trend that came about years ago, and always looked dumb. Especially once they started selling spinner hubcaps for poor people without taste...

Go with a stunning set of "normal" chrome rims, and trust me, you'll stand out just as much...and have a truck that looks gorgeous, and not out of style:thumbsup:

I agree with this quote completely. If you are going to get spinners, please look into floaters. DUB has floaters to choose from, and if you want spinners, DUB or Davin are the companies to choose from.

Thanks.

they are called Floaters. You could do a google search you will come up with tons of sites that sell them. Or a time machine to go back in time when they were hot (sorry, couldnt resist)

Never liked spinners! I like those floaters though, aslong as you paint the background of te rim to match your truck. get the floaters but dont get spinners.

Yeah I always laugh whenever I see someone go by with a set of spinners. I laugh even harder when you can tell they came from Wal-Mart.

by the way, how do floaters work?

Can anyone explain the difference between spinners and floaters, thanks.

Spinners= the spinner it self spins once you get to a certain speed.

Floaters= the spinner sits in place (due to weight on the spinner itself) making it appear to be floating when they drive.

I am selling a set of 24" Dub Bellagio Floaters and tires. They are like brand new and come with cooper tires, all mounted and balanced. They do spin but also float. Very nice rims and get TONS of compliments no matter what people say. People break there necks when I drive down the road. They retail at close to 9500 on superbuy and the best wholesale price is close to 7900.00 I am asking 4500.00 wheels and tires and they are like brand new. Boombotz and stoney have seen them in person and can vouch that I am not a scam as I do have the rims on my truck. Let me know if its somthing your interested in, I can accept credit cards or paypal. Chem em out on the www.mhtwheels.com site. thanks

Bart where are you located ? and i agree dont do spinnrs on the 07 it would not look classy. If your looking for rims y not just go 24's instead of spinners? chrome or black would look good.

you guys do realize floaters are spinners right? They are just weighted down with weights so they dont spin, take the weights off and you've got spinners. You can make any spinner a floater, they were talking about it on the Davin forums.

I want splitters. Rims that split in half and show a different wheel design on each side, and I want LED's and screens in them, maybe a fog machine and some shooting ninja stars with bullet proof tires and spikes to avoid severe tire damage when running over police spike strips.

I agree. They were hot.
But never been my personal taste. I like things clean, and spinners are the opposite of that.

And obviously by the looks of the new 2007, Cadillac probably did not make a vehicle that can be modded out to the point the old Escalade was capable of being modified. Its more of the Mommy and Daddy vehicle now. Nothing against you parents out there.

I agree with you completely Bryan, but I do have a slight attraction to the floaters. I still prefer my rims clean and like the look better but when I see some DUB Esinem Floaters, it still looks good to me. Anyways, just my opinion.

Thanks.

Yeah, I give props to MHT Wheels for the technology behind the floaters. They're pretty cool how they were built, although I would never buy them.
