Ranger 02-27-06, 11:32 PM P0600 - Serial Communication Link Malfunction Can't help any more than that. Snyder81 02-28-06, 12:15 AM I cleaned my tb out tonight really good and now it runs rough. there is one current code tc0600 not sure what it means any advice? Is it possible that any of the TB cleaner got on the Mass Air Flow(MAF) Sensor? If so, that could make the car run rough. phathead785 02-28-06, 06:58 AM did u use anything metal to clean it? 96-deville-man 02-28-06, 03:03 PM Is it possible that any of the TB cleaner got on the Mass Air Flow(MAF) Sensor? If so, that could make the car run rough. that was my first guess. can you tell me how to check it? did u use anything metal to clean it? no just a toothbrush and alot i mean alot of tb cleaner. 96-deville-man 02-28-06, 04:48 PM well i went out there and tryed to start it and now it woulnt even fire and this code came up pc0231. How do i fix that? I really hate to say it but im starting to lose faith in cadillac, even GM all the GM cars me or my family have owned have had problems. this is the second time there has been a problem with the fuel pump in this car the first time costing $500. If this is another one of those adventures im gonna have to consider selling this car. Ranger 02-28-06, 10:57 PM Regarding the MAF sensor, remove it and very gently, clean the virtical wire inside with a cotton swab wetted with brake cleaner, alcohol or electrical parts cleaner. If you used a lot of carb cleaner as you said, it will pool just inside the TB. While the MAF is off, open the throttle plate and if there is any pooled in there, sop it up with a rag, but I would suspect it is all evaporated by now. Also be sure you reinstalled all the plugs you removed, TPS, IAT, MAF etc. 96-deville-man 03-01-06, 12:22 AM yes all the plugs are back together. it ran last night just rough. now to day it wouldnt start at all and i got that fuel pump code. Ranger 03-01-06, 02:50 AM Check the fuel pressure. 96-deville-man 03-01-06, 04:16 AM Check the fuel pressure. i checked it and there is none. I belive it has to do whith the code i posted earlyer pc0231. Ranger 03-01-06, 11:40 AM If there is no fuel pressure with the key on, then either you have lost power to the fuel pump for some reason (fuse, relay, wiring) or the pump has up and died. Guyz1996deville 03-01-06, 01:38 PM Keep me updated as to how much faith you have lost. I have a 96 and I will buy yours for a parts car. Just kidding, I would help you out if I had some ideas. 96-deville-man 03-01-06, 03:49 PM Im open to selling it lol but i really need to get 6000 for it. Wich i think is pretty fair with the paint job rims and stero. as for the fuel pump it was replaced not more than 3 months ago so im gonna get ahold of them and see what kind of warrentee it has. 91TexasSeville 03-02-06, 05:31 AM Im open to selling it lol but i really need to get 6000 for it. If you have any power to the computer at all, you can run a diagnostic for your fuel pump circuit. Do as Ranger suggested and check all fuses first. 96-deville-man 03-02-06, 06:44 PM The fuse is good. and i get this code (P0231 - Fuel Pump Feedback Circuit Low Voltage) And i need to know how to go about fixing this code. Ranger 03-02-06, 08:18 PM This is just a guess, but my gut feeling is that the pump died since it ran fine one day and no fuel pressure the next. 96-deville-man 03-02-06, 11:47 PM that is my guess too i will be contacting the place that did the fuel pump last time and gonna see what kind of warrenty it has. | |
