Welcome to the world we live in. Lots of folks don't give a damn about other people's property. Some are just plain envious and will try to drag us down as well.:want:
Try to park as far away as possible. Don't be a jerk and take up more than one parking place - that invites trouble.
I had a woman back into my truck at the post office and try to run. I was standing 10 feet away and I flagged her down, her reply was "I didn't realize I had hit anything". She moved a 4500LBS truck 8 inches and crushed her taillight up to the rear door of her minivan and claims that she didn't feel anything. Luckily for me, she hit me square in the bumper and it didn't even put a scuff on it.

Here's one for ya. It may not totally restore your faith but it sure helped mine.
I was at a yard sale several months back when a woman announced, "Who's blue Oldsmobile is parked out front?". I cringed of course and went with her to see the damage.
She had backed into the left front headlight and messed it up pretty good. She appologized up and down and said she wanted to fix it and we exchanged info. I thought that was that and I'd never hear from her again so I was prepared to just get it fixed.
Well, about three hours later this woman calls me and asks can she come over to fix the car. She had gone to the junk yard, pulled an entire grill and headlights unit and was ready to put them in. I said sure and just sort of chuckled to myself thinking what a ruse!
Half an hour later the door bell rings and there she is wanting me to back the car up a bit so she can get to the parts to remove and replace them. Damn if she didn't have this all done in about two hours with no help from me. All I could do was just be as cool as possible and not fawn all over the fact that she was so freaking honest and true, know what I mean.
Well, that made feel really good,................................ for awhile anyway.

What a great story!
Well this lady backs out looking forward... I see her coming and honk. All she does is turn and make eye contact, then proceed to peel her eyes wide open and open her mouth like this :  yet still fails to use the brakes.
My lovely, previously unscathed Eldo stops her POS cookie cutter sedan Honda with the rear quarter panel. It shudders.
Her bumper is all screwed up, I exchange insurance info, she breaks apart and starts to cry incontrollably and tells me she is so sorry and to please talk to her husband and not claim it on the policy.
She explains she has had a bad day and has wrecked the front of her car earlier on a parking pole! (sorry but she should not be driving). She hands me the phone and has me talk to her husband who seemed to be a very nice person. He says he'll take care of it...
Next thing you know he says that dent which is high on my car's rear panel could not possibly be from his wife's car! (her bumper twisted when it met the Eldo).
he took me to his "buddy" where he and the buddy engaged in some kind of eastern european dialect leaving me out of the loop. They both concurred that my damage was pre existent. The guy said he'd repaint the panel and pointed out a chip on my clearcoat and started picking at it with his nail! :rant2:
I was pissed. After telling him I was going to claim it on the insurance he ended up paying for one of those dentless repair places to fix it and it's almost unnoticeable, but it was an uphill battle. And there are some scuff lines that went past the clearcoat that I was almost able to make dissapear right above the bumper with some elbow grease, as well as mask the clearcoat chips.
So... you try to work with folks and what do you get? :thepan:
I'm glad that was over (happened almost a year ago), and I don't think I would make the same mistake twice. In the school of hard knocks... the lessons come after the test, and tuition cost is high.
I should carry a camera to show the damage on the spot. Damn.

yea that pisses me off. A lady smacked her '03 BMW 330i into the front right of my '87 fleetwood brougham when i ahd it, and demanded money from me. One of those well dressed uptight 25 yr olds who think they are hot shit because they finally mvoed out of daddy's house.I was signaling to mvoe around soemone who was stopped in a parkinglot and passed them to the right. She jumped the gun and the acceleration pedal. As she hit my car it merely rocked and her wheel well was folded in. She said she was so mad that she hit "my piece of shit car" with her brand new beamer. She demanded money. I said, if you have the bank account to drive like that, then you repair it. I also told her that i wanted her to take the black plastic that scuffed off my bumper from her wheel wells, and put it back on my bumper :bouncy: im a wiseass i know, but she ahd it comming driving like a fool.
here is a pic of the so called "piece of shit"
