Well I just recieved a 1988 Cadillac DeVille today. Wow what a car, it has 47,000 actual miles on it, super clean, nothing wrong with it inside or out. Maintenance records and everything. I went from a Dodge truck to this and I am in shock at how nice it is. It is a light blue with cloth interior. I do not know the name of the color, if anyone does please let me know.
I would like to find websites that sell after market options and parts to keep it 100% original and clean. Never thought I would own a Cadillac but I am glad I do now.

A good place to find OEM parts at a good price is http://www.rockauto.com or http://www.gmpartsdirect. A FSM (Factory Service Manual) will be invaluable. Chech ebay or http://www.helminc.com. Don't waste your money on Chilton or Haynes.

Me too. First time Cadillac DeVille owner (1990 coupe) going on week two and would be totally lovin' this car except for I can't seem to get used to the rotten gas mileage I get. 18 gallon tankful of high test gets me a pathetic, outrageous, traumatic-to-the-bone, how-long-can-I-take-this 216 miles!

Ditto on the over-rated, shallow and superficial Chilton rip-off book.

A recent trip to the junk/salvage yard resulted in more successful scavanging than past trips searching for parts on the now dead previous vehicle, an '89 Caprice, and I thought they made a zillion of those.
