i have a 96 deville that i believe has a bad heater core and possibly a bad starter? im gettin the codes PC0606, IP1552, IP1911, IP2711, IP2711, AC1340, RS0027, they are all history and no currents, can someone translate for me? and whether it is cold or hot, well it does it more when it is warmed up, my car will start very very sluggish and sometimes everything will reset, like the mpg and the gallons used and stuff, what could this be? PS i just put an optima red top in there and it didnt fix the problem helpp
You'll find the code definitions here.

Did you check the cable closely for corrosion under the insulation?

i dont understand that site at all it dosent say anything about my codes...but yes i did and they are all clean and look fine
P0606 - Control Module Internal Performance
B1552 - Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error
B1911 - Generator L-Terminal Problem
B2711 - PASSKey Open/Shorted Pellet After Good Key
B1340 - Air Mix Door One Movement Fault
There is no 0027 unless you mean 0227
C0227 - Left Front Wheel Speed Signal Erratic

now can u translate those for me so i can fix them?
1911 might be a failing alternator.
2711 bad key or ingition switch.
1340 a bad air mix door actuator.
0227 (if that is the correct code) probably a bad wheel speed sensor (integral to the hub & bearing assenbly)
Don't know much about the others.

i think it might be the alternator maybe, cause when i idle and stuff it is only at about 12.3 volts wen im looking at the voltemeter on the dash, and when i have the ac on and the lights on and i hit the brakes it goes down real low like 10-9-11.3 volts, thats low right?
Check the battery before you condemn the alternator.

i just put a brand new optima red top in there thinking that it was the battery...not even a month ago
