First:
Passenger seat heater doesn't seem to work when driver and rear seats do. Checked fuses, what else should I look for?
Second:
sometimes when I hit a bump or a pothole to hard I get "Service Stability/Suspension system" on the cluster. It will go away in a short period of time or I can just change the screen to something else and its gone. Could this be a BIG problem?

It could be the heading module or the element itself. there are quite a few posts on this. I don't have heated seats on mine, so that's all i can offer. :(

to me that just sounds like a loose connection or a chafed electrical wire. i'd take the wheels off and check the wiring coming out of the struts back to where they plug in on the side of the engine compartment for the front two. as for the rear wiring, i haven't had to work with that yet.
good luck!

Does that involve tearing the leather off the bottom half? That's not something I'm comfortable doing, and my drivers side doesn't work.

I don't believe it does. But I'm not 100% sure on that.
Yes it does. I just had mine done under warranty and the mechanic told me it is was quite easy. He said only 3 bolts (not sure where) and the seat cushion is in your hands. The leather should be easy after the seat cushion is out. I saw a "How to" with pics, either here or at caddyinfo not too long ago.

i stand corrected, thanks Ranger! from previous readings on here, I thought the element was just underneath the cushion accessable without removing the leather. :thepan:
I am pretty sure the element is between the leather and the padding, so you will need to at least peel back the leather a bit to gain access to the element. If the element was under the cushion, heat would never get through to heat hte leather and ultimately your butt.

i guess i'll just have to add them someday, so i know exactly how they all work. :) but someday I'll have a garage and wont need heated seats, i hope.

I removed a 01 SLS seat last weekend the element was under the cushion. Looks like it would be easy to get to, I didn't take apart the seat though.

Well, I have the same thing happen with my high-mileage SLS (with original struts) and since I know my struts are weak & need replacing, I imagine the suspension code on the DIC is telling me that every once in a while it can't do its job, due to aging struts. Only comes up in extreme maneuvers or huge potholes. Goes into History, and doesn't happen again for another month or two.
My dilema is whether to shell out the one grand for new OEM struts or whether to buy lower-mileage used ones from dismantlers. I did a search for these and emailed about 20 of them, and most emailed back with the price, mileage info, etc. Seem to run about 300-400 for a good low-mileage pair. Cheaper if you want 70k on them.
I researched but rejected the idea of new, passive strut replacements. Like someone on this forum said, why sacrifice the ride which prompted the SLS purchase in the first place.
good luck
