True about the corvette part but 100 times better looking than the trash can lid that came with the car.

Did you cut them or are the StealthV covers (pre-cut)?

IMHO a much better option is the carbon fiber underhood appearence kit.

Interesting how 10 years ago the same thing was being done. Here are the LT-1 Vette fuel rail covers on my 1996 Fleetwood

Remember, the V was originally scheduled to have the Northstar but it wouldn't fit, so they dropped in the LS6 ('04 and '05 versions.) Be glad they didn't drop in the LS1. The 'Vette fuel rail covers don't look all that bad in the V as a result. Besides, they're good for easy 20RWHP increase.... :)

Remeber its a Cadivette. Thankgod it didn't get the northstar. I think most of us would not of bought it if it did. I still think the XLR-V is a waste. Just because of a supercharger 100 grand.

If I would have seen that in August I would have gone with it. I like keeping the stock appearance. I just removed my CAI and bolted the stock box back in. Why?? :helpless:

Theformer, I take it you have two V's in your garage??

Another option is to go to one of the vette aftermarket companies and get either smoothie gel coat covers and custom paint or carbon fiber smooth covers.

Is anybody interested in this type of cover???

I have a couple of sets of smooth type carbon fiber covers from my vette that I might sell.

Saw the XLR-V today for the first time with a whopping sticker price of $101,900.

Sorry to say that I just don't see how Cadillac is going to justify an extra $30-$35k grandd for a blower and 19" wheel rims.

No two piece rotors nor was there any fixed mount radial calipers as there is on the Corvette Z06. Brake and suspension set-up consisted of dual piston front PBR's and single piston PBR rears calipers and cross drilled one piece gravity cast iron rotors. Very similiar brake and suspension package that is on the Z51 package on the C6 corvette that retails for about $2000.00

I just don't see how they can justify that huge $30 to $35.000 bump when all I see is a $2000 Z51 brake and suspension package and a $6000 eaton type roots blower.

IMO; overpriced by $20 grand.

Personally; the interior of the "standard" XLR with the lighter wood and smooth "lambskin" type leather on the door panels looked and felt far better than the suede or "microfiber" type of material on the XLR-V door panels. I wasn't sure if it was genuine suede or polyster microfiber.

I think this one is going to be a sloooow mover when compared to some of the Euro-offerings.
