Hey guys, would a transmission FLUSH ever have anything to do with the malfunction of the transmission input speed sensor? Just wondering...

But anyway, just got back from gassing up and I decided to perform 2 WOTs. The first one was great and normal...then I came back from gassing up and I tried it again on the same road. Same, great WOT...but (theres always a but) I finally turned into my neighborhood and it gave me the message I use to get: "Service- Emissions System"...so tomorrow I'mma go ahead and re-clean the EGR and the TB.

Performed a diagnostics check...got a new code thrown at me...

P1520 - Transmission Range Switch Circuit

^^^Ideas?

I read here, somewhere, to just drain the trans and refill. The flushing machine could have left some sludge in there.

I assume you are saying you had a flush done? :tisk: I am not tranny expert but I would venture a guess that if a flush did any damage, it would be to a valve not a sensor.

Well the flush was long before I had any transmission knowledge etc...but it was almost a year ago...but I know what to do in the future now.

What about that P1520 code?

Don't know much about that. You'll need someone more knowledgable about trannies to answer that.

Anyone wanna step up to the plate? Transmission nerds out there? Jk...

All transmission speed sensors I have dealt with seem to operate off some sort of contact less method; possibly magnetic. So I could not imagine a transmission flush could ever have any effect on it unless a massive glob of sludge lodged in between it, that which I highly doubt.

Maybe it was just it's time to go? :yup:
