I would like to put a set of 205/75R15 size tires on my '89 Fleetwood Sedan. The recommended and current tires are 205/70's. Would there be a problem putting on these larger tires? I posted this question in the "Tire, Brake and Suspension" forum, but wanted to ask somebody in the FWD forum for their opinion. Thanks, much appreciated!

I put 215/65's on mine to keep the height the same and get a little extra width. No trouble there. But you're looking to go taller it seems. Well, it LOOKS like there's room, but I don't know from personal experience.
Another point though, won't the taller tire have an effect on the speedometer accuracy?
Are the speedometers on these programmable or do you have to get a different driven gear like on some other models?
Don't know but I thought I'd bring that point up.
