97 Catera.

I went on German ebay www.ebay.de (http://www.ebay.de) and made search opel omega Spurstange (http://www.dict.cc/german-english/Spurstange.html) (i think this is tie rod in german). I was surprised by the price you can buy the set of both inner and outer tie rods for 35 euro (about $40) and european headlight cost only $37 each. I wonder if they fit on cadillac catera I know they were built off the same assebly line in germany. I need tie rods very bad.

I wish I had the answer to your inquiry. Of course both cars were built at the old Ruesselsheim Opel facility, just as you say. My guess, and it is no more than that, is the tie rod ends are more likely to be the same than the headlights. Best way to nail it down is to buy a set and try 'em. If you can find a source offering return privilege, that might be a help.

The team of American Caddy engineers, who worked at Ruesselsheim during Catera development, reportedly focused mainly on more cosmetic, appearance, styling, and driver interface stuff. It's entirely possible they did not mess with the tie rod ends.
