when i go to take of its like my caddy it doesnt stall but it takes it a lil bit to toake off and i was wonderin what that could be????

Is it only when cold? My caddy did that when it was cold my egr was bad. I would try to clean yours first before replacing it.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. What year car/engine are you talking about?

The 4.1, 4.5 & 4.9 use a vacuum operated, electronicly controled EGR. It is much different than what is usually discussed here in cleaning EGR's. You need a FSM to diagnose the solenoid and the system. Dont just throw an EGR valve at it as the control valve or the solenoid might be bad.

There are a couple other possible causes for lag... Fuel filter or clogged cat, for example. The fuel filter is something you can throw at it, as it doesn't cost much, and is often neglected anyhoo. Also make sure your throttle cable isn't binding or anything like that. Silicone spray is your friend if it is.

It's to the rear (firewall side) of the TB. Go to the Tech Tips section. There is a thread on How To Clean The EGR (with pics).

ok i got another problem i havve struts i think not sure i tihnk thats what is on a 1986 cadillac deville but i am wantin to put some airbag on it and i was wonderin if that was possible cause i ahe plans for air hidrolics and i need bags and i was jsut wonderin if i was able to do that?????????????????//
