Alright, the paint color names was and is a great and useful thread, taught me a bunch and now i know what the color of my Brougham is.But now, here is an even trickier question: is there any way of knowing the production numbers of those paint colors for which year they were offered? I know that there are more rare colors than others. For example,my 85 Brougham is Sage Green, its the only one ive ever seen. But ive seen a million Cotillion White and countless other shades of blue, black, grey, shades of red, just about very other color. Thus leading me to believe some colors are far more rare than others.Ive tried to research production numbers for paint colors and usually end up empty-handed,unless its a newer model STS or DTS or whatever.

I think if anyone could come up with this information,it would probably be one of the best pieces of knowledge on Fleetwood Broughams ever.People would get to know how many of what they have were produced and if you came across something rare, you could pick it up,plus it would just be awesome to know.

Any input is greatly appreciated.I'll also continue my search, and i know some people can find things out easier than others.

Thanks a whole bunch. - Tim

Also i plan to try and get some pics of my Sage Green Brougham up so that those who havnt seen one can see how nice that color is.

I can personally account for one Briar Brown 1983 Coupe Deville.

Production numbers would be cool, unfortunately I have no idea how to go about finding them. Whoever does is the mack daddy of Deville/Fleetwood trivia.

ATTN: MACK DADDY OF FLEETWOOD/DEVILLE TIVIA!

Also,do any of you know if the early 80's coupes (fleetwood-devilles) were offered in all the same colors as the sedans?

Yes, they all came in the same colors whether coupe or sedan.

The colors were the same for all Cadillacs. The Eldorados and Sevilles had a few exclusive colors though. I'm not sure what the deal with the Cimarron was (my 83 color chart doesn't list it), but who even cares?

If theres anything that Bro-Ham doesn't know about Cadillac production or Cadillac trivia, it just isnt worth knowing! :)

Hi Stud Man Chad,

Thanks for the compliment. I have to say that you also know some pretty wickedly obscure trivia yourself! I am a little surprised that you haven't found the answer to the question of the production numbers of the cars in each paint color. Will we ever know?

For me, there is not too much magic to knowing odd nuggets of information about old Cadillacs just repetition since I spent half my childhood from 1975 to 1985 reading over and over again for fun the sales brochures on Cadillacs, Buick Electras, and Oldsmobile 98's.

Dammit! Damn the internet and Damn Google.I love it and hate it,i do a google search for cadillac paint production numbers and find stuff that has nothing to do with paint, producing anything, cadillacs or anything i typed in.Only on the internet can you search for cadillac history and end up finding porn. This question is really getting to me,i know the information has to be out there.I keep searching, and still find nothing, only sometimes will i stumble upon a cool cadillac site, but never find what im looking for. HELP!!!
