I heard about this on Howard this morning -- sounds like a seamless, painless way to make the move from XM to Sirius. I don't think it's available until 3/30/2006. Anyone know if this really works?

It looks similar to the Radios and More XM solution, but with Sirius. There's no reason it shouldn't work. If an XMDirect tuner can be retrofitted with a 'T harness' and GM Class 2 bus adapter, the Sirius unit should work the same.

Yeah, but there needs to be a way to use the stock antenna too to make this a A++ conversion.

This would be great. If there is no way the stock antenna can be used, I might have to live with a second antenna.

This might be my next modification....

As soon as I hit the link, I remembered I have a buddy who can get me the headrest mobile video at a good discount. If you guys are interested, I can see what he can do for a group purchase. :D

Those are way cool, but my kids dont spend enough time in the car to warrant that purchase. Very cool, but impracticle for me.

This was something I was extremely interested in 6 months ago when we got our Avalanche because I didn't want an aftermarket radio in there with the Navigation. But after having the Sportster Replay I cannot live without it!!! I love the pause, rewind and fast forward options, so both the V and the Avi have them in there also.

This is still not available; I don't know what the hold up is.

I called Directed, the distributor for this product. Sirius has already given three different release dates, and now they're saying May 1st.

The SIR-GM1 should be compatible with our cars and will plug in replacement of the factory XM tuner with an antenna adaptor.

Great news. I'd rather have Sirius over XM anyday.

I've been waiting for this thing since I heard about it. I wish Sirius would hurry up and get it out the door.
