I have a 97 STS that is showing "Refrigerant very low" on the dash display and of course the compressor will not run. I checked the a/c system pressure and it has 50# at suction to compressor. I also tried to "jump out" the low pressure switch on the accumulator which did not work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had trouble charging my brother's recently. Jumperes the switch and it took a long time to activate the compressor clutch. Did you leave the jumper on a long time, Like 30 seconds?
