Last thursday we had -36c and it was cold . I nomally keep the car in the heated garage but had to drive about 200 miles!!! It took about 90 miles at 70 mph for the tranny to even get close to a normal operating temp. Thank Redline for great fluids at that temp. Had to take a whiz on the highway at 2:30 A;M and man was it cold!!!!

Barry, I live a few miles west of you, and we had -3 the other morning on my traceable-to-NBS thermometer. My V stayed nice and snug in the garage.

StealthV should chime in on this one up there in MinneSOta, eh?

Back in the late sixties I saw -33 degrees below zero in Minot, North Dakota. Cars don't move very well at that temp!!!! i NEVER WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN!!!! :thepan:

Hey Pneu, I used to live in Grand Forks!
Seems as though I recall a few -30 F degree days when I was there myself.
I know with the 80mph winds the chill factor once got to -115 F.
(I was a kid so the memory is a little fuzzy)
I can tell you that I was inside sitting close to a wood stove or sleeping under every blanket we had in bed with my sister (eaaasy now!).
Man the stories I have from those 5 years of my life!
