You cant "ground it out"... Up until 05 you could put in a code to let you watch DVD's while moving, but they changed it. Now that its even MORE similar to the setup in the DTS and STS, it will be even harder as its on a ClassII Data Bus.

The code never worked on the Escalade.

So is it true that you can enter a code on an o4 model non touch screen navigation unit that will play DVD's? Or do I have to buy an aftermarket interface? Please let me know. Thanks

Our Nav units in the Escalade can't play DVD's. It is unable to read that format. You need to by a module and have a seperate DVD player to watch a movie on your Nav screen.

What a pity. But then most of what comes out of Hollyweird these days puts me to sleep. So this is probably a good thing . . .

I have been contemplating buying the module, but mainly to hook up a rear view camera and have the image come up on the Nav screen when you shift in reverse. I already have monitor's in the headrests. So I could care less about watching a movie while driving.

the 07 i have playes dvd in the front i was told have not checked i out yet i was told only when stopped it will play

i have an 05 where can i buy the module to play a dvd on my nav screen. also how can you use the nav while driving it

h '07's will play a dvd when it is parked but when you start to drive it will stop.

I'm just throwing this out.

But i wonder if it has some kind of wire that is tapped into the gear box or whatever its called, so that when you put the gears into the "D - Drive", it shuts the dvd off???

I dont know, just a guess, because I know when they install aftermarket ones up front, it is tapped into your emergency brake, so that when you release the emergency brake, the dvds wont play up front....

Cut that wire hooked up to the emergency brake and it might just work fine.?.

Like I said, I dont know, and i'm just throwing out my thoughts. :thumbsup:
