: New tires, pics.

I posted this on the Impala SS forum, but thought someone here might be interested.

Well, I decided to bite the bullet and do some maintenance on the Cadillac this week. It was treated to brand new oil and trans cooler lines (so I don't leave little driplets in people's driveways), new variable speed sensor (so it doesn't make me have a cardiac arrest when I ease into a sweeping turn), and new front shocks (so I travel less vertically and more horizontally).

I also put on a new set of tires. I wasn't all that happy with the Impala SS-spec BFG's that I had on there in the first place, so I went with taller 255/55/17 Michelin Pilot LTX. They are supposed to be SUV tires, but I like them so much better than the "sporty" tires I can't tell you. They look lots better too. Probably the best thing I've done yet (they cost quite a bit, but they sure are better). Here's some pictures.

Sorry, I can never get pictures to link directly here. :banghead:

Nice! That is a near twin to my FWB, which I hope to get some of the same tires/rims soon!

That's quite a bit of tire! Looks good though, your Fleetwood has always been one of my favorites on here.

Yeah, they look bigger than the tires I had on there, but they are actually the same diameter as the stock 15" Michelins that came on it originally, so my spedometer won't be off. I'm pretty happy with them.

I'm going to try an attachment ...

Eh, I had to shrink the picture (which was already shrunk), and I messed it all up. At least now I know why I couldn't get my pictures to show now.

Ah what a nice looking Brougham! I really like the wheels and how you put the ornament on the grille.
