Im 29 and I havent gotten a ticket in 7 years, and even then I took defensive driving. I pay 157.40 a month for full coverage. It seems a bit hight to me. Im with AIG auto insurance.

I did call a few reputable insurance companies for quotes, but I guess things have changed recently and theyre asking permission to pull a credit report. Which would be fine later on but right now Im trying to buy a house and I dontwant any inquiries on my record.

Dang. So I am paying more than every single person who posted. Great. I guess I have some research to do. It would be nice to bring it under $100 a month, I dont know how you guys do it. I remember shopping several companies when I bought my truck and AIG was the cheapest at the time. Its time to switch.

I don't think that they don't have full coverage, but liability numbers make a big difference on what your paying not to mention age. I carry the 100/300 but a lot of people only carry 25/50. Not to mention deductible. These are all things to take into mind when figuring.

Guys, please keep in mind that where you live has a big part in what you pay.

If you live in California or Florida (where cars get stolen) or in a city with shitty traffic and high accident rate, you will pay more.

In addition, if your over 50 and have been with a company forever, or have you house insurance as well as your car insurance with the same company, you will get a big discount.

If you want to try and get a lower rate, try to put your homeowners insurance with the same company as your car insurance. In some cases, this can give you a pretty large discount. Other companies give a deal for multiple cars (mine doesn't).

...and on the subject, I pay $147 for full with $500 deduct. I've got a coupule of tickets and one wreck.....so I hope it goes down in the next year or so.....

hope this helps

They never made a 1999 735il (BMW).

Those three cars at your age with two tickets would cost a lot more in insurance.

I'm 22, I have a 2002 Infiniti QX4 and I pay almost $200 a month, and that's with a perfect driving history, no tickets and no accidents.

You're thinking of the 528. In 1999, they had the 740il, 740i and the 750il.

The 740il was the long wheelbase v8.

The 740i was the shorter wheelbase V8, it was a sporty version of the 7 series.

The 750il was a long wheelbase V12, their flagship.

But whatever they had, they haven't had the 735il since atleast 1994, no later.

That's the problem with an Escalade forum, you get a lot of kids who listen to too much rap and go around pretending to be someone they're not.

It never ceases to amaze me whenever I see these kinds of threads, with some folks seeing some of these "low" figures and wondering if they're getting reamed on how much they're paying for their policy. If you want to get a general idea as to whether or not you're overpaying--compare against someone who has all of the same exact attributes you have...age, location, type and number of vehicles owned/driven, coverage, insurance company, discounts, driving record, number of miles driven per year, number of drivers on the policy, etc. It's easy for one to boast that they're paying $500/year full coverage for a vehicle that's garaged out in the middle of nowhere in a state like say, South Dakota; put that same person with that same vehicle garaged at an address in a high-crime area in San Francisco and I guarantee he won't be boasting that he's still paying $500/year for the exact same coverage that he was paying for back in South Dakota.

Syracuse, NY, 04 escalade and 04 vw passat together its about 2k every 6 months for full coverage, down in brooklyn where we live it would run a lil shy of 10k every 6 months so there is a big difference, brooklyn being the highest car insurance rates in the u.s.

edit: and 10k a year per car is considered "reasonable for my age" 23 according to progressive insurance.

hornyjuan

So let me get this straight, you pay 20k per year in car insurance if you live in Brooklyn? That seems a tad ridiculous you could literally buy your car in 2 1/2 years just paying insurance.

Dayum...you must love your vehicles and/or earn a ton of money for you to afford paying near $6K/year in vehicle insurance. Sure, it averages to roughly $1K/year per vehicle but since the three motorcycles are just liability-only, I reckon that the insurance on those three probably don't even amount to more than $1K/year combined...meaning you're paying roughly $5K for just three cars. Like I said...you must really love your cars to be willing to pay that much on insurance. :)
