hello, i know the 07 hasn't hit the streets yet, but i would like to know when GM will start building the 08's? i don't want to buy the first model year, i would like to wait for the 2nd year. thanks for all info.

Usual release dates are early Aug, so the 08' will be released in Aug 07', about a year and a half from now.

Yeah the 2007 is going to be a long model year for the Escalade due to the early launch.

I read that the '08 will have displacement on demand and should improve fuel mileage. Anyone heard of other enhancements for the 08?

I just got an '05 a little over a year ago, so I have to wait at least 2 years for financial reasons...otherwise, I'd just get an 07.
