I like it more than the regular one, but why did they make the rear lights straight, they would so much better slanted.

And why does the new avalanche use the current escalade rear?
go look at some pics of the new avalanche and from the back it looks exactly like the current ext.

I like the EXT more than the regular one too but ya... the first thing that caught my eye was the straight tail lights.
If it had slanted lights like the current model it would look Real Nice!
But..
The rear 07 EXT tailights are straight because they are the same ones being used on the regular and ESV 07 Escalade.
When GM only has to make one light and it fits all the different vehicles, they save money.
Same with the new Avalanche having the same rear end as the current Escalade.
Using the same tooling to make parts for a new vehicle...
Saves money for GM.
The way it's always been and probably always will be.

am i the only one that doesn't like the side vents on any of the new lades... i think it looks way to buickish... i mean the range rovers are sporty and hardcore... the lades are just wack looking... i like the old ext better actually...

I agree about those vents, and there is way too much chrome on the car, its not even real chrome, too much plastic chrome isnt good.

I think it looks good that they took out the faux cladding lines on the sides, but then they junked it up with those side vents. Because they dropped the center of the front grill, I think it looks like it's smiling- a dorky smile at that...

The best thingy about that new EXT is that everybody that want the new body style will be trading in their old body styles for it. Which means that I will be able to pick up an old body style EXT or Escalade for a very good price lol. Although the new Escalades may have s slew of major mechanical and technological improvements over the old body style, it can't touch the look of the old body style. I like the old ones a lot better.

to me the '02-'06 is the best ext design out there, the 07 is just too plain at the sides ! and i have to agree with Fast66 , those side-vents are'nt really a good idea.

actually to me the interior sux as well, the only thing thats good about it is the engine.
