My STS has been doing another thing I just remembered ever since I got it. Occasionally it is very difficult to start, it has to crank several times before it finally fires, and then other times it fires right up. It doesnt matter if it has sat all night or just for a few minutes, it is intermittent either way.
I believe this might be the Fuel pressure regulator because I smell gas sometimes when it does this, however I dont know involved this is to replace or check.
Thanks,
Ian.

hmm, maybe this is what my seville does occasionally. i also have not found any pattern in it. it'll crank and act like it's not going to start, and just 'stall', but then if i keep cranking it'll start. this usually lasts for just a few seconds. but again, it's very random. not even once a week. maybe once every 2-3 weeks.

Mine does this too. Ever since I bought it, never been an issue but I would like it to stop, it can be embarssing. It does it about 50/50. Information would be highly apprectiated :)

The thread link Ranger posted is exactly what you need. Thanks Ranger.

Was that your problem?
Yeah, tell us. A fuel press. regulator (FPR) fixed my '99 with similar symptoms.

I just checked, the way the link directed and I didn't see any fuel leaking down....
